Our Prediction Model is a powerful tool aimed at amateur and professional golfers and their coaches. Players and coaches can now have even more powerful conversations because they can see how their game is forecasted to develop.

Our Prediction Model tool enables coaches to clearly articulate an improvement plan and for the player to understand how their current performance may affect their future performance, allowing for increased compliance and engagement of their progression over the next 12 weeks.

This tool encourages the players to work towards improving their game as any recorded round contributes to the forecast, hence motivating them to play regularly and aim to hone their skills.

Regardless of skill level, a golfer greatly benefits from understanding how their performance has evolved over time. This can lead to the development of personalized training regimes which maximize player improvement and increase customer (player/parent) compliance for coaches.

This data can also be used to predict future performance and therefore assist in setting goals and quantifying improvement.

Performance Modelling is proven to increase engagement and motivation for players. A personalized forecast is, therefore, a great tool for golfers to visualize how their current performance affects their future performance. This is particularly valuable as it provides players with a glimpse of the future – the future is in control of the player.

Forecasts are produced using Strokes Gained, calculated from rounds recorded in Circles. The model uses the Stokes Gained metrics calculated over a player’s last 20 rounds. The 5 Stokes Gained metrics used are:

  • Total Strokes Gained

  • Drive Strokes Gained

  • Approach Strokes Gained

  • Short Strokes Gained

  • Putt Strokes Gained
