We take the average distance between the 60th and 80th percentile of all drives from selected rounds for course strategy.
Capping at the 80th percentile was done to exclude any outliers regarding distance or data entry issues.
The 60th percentile floor removes drives, most likely non-drivers or layups.
โ
We use these to construct our distributions, i.e., how likely are you to hit it offline, and use them to determine which distribution model, e.g., pro vs. D1 vs. scratch etc.
